Catering Assistant
The Beach Club, Inc. (Palm Beach, FL) seeks Catering Assistant
Responsibilities
Coordinate and direct private catering functions. Coordinate related departmental activities based on event orders, including proper assignment and deployment of club resources across all associated functional areas. Develop themes, menus, entertainment, decorations, floor plans, timelines, and service strategies for special catered affairs and member social events. Utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power BI) to create pre-function support documents for both staff planning and client communications. Responsible for revenue reports, pricing models, analysis of historical data to support management decision-making. Respond to internal and external event inquiries, assess booking requirements from potential clients, and offer tours of club space. Serve as primary point of contact for weddings, ceremonies, rehearsals, and special events, including liaising with third-party vendors and services. Assist the Director of Catering in developing, implementing, and monitoring budget and annual sales/marketing projections for the Catering Department. Use “Smart Draw” space-planning software to create floor plans and layouts for catered events (including stage, dance floor, tables, entertainment, and bars).
Requirements
- Six (6) months of work experience providing dining services and support in a private club, resort, or luxury establishment.
- Three (3) months of experience using Jonas Club Management to record and produce statements of charges, and to manage client profiles, preferences, and historical data.
- Three (3) months of experience providing dining services and support for private catered events, including weddings, ceremonies, and rehearsal dinners.
- Three (3) months of experience setting up fine dining rooms for multiple course meals.
